Re: Avoiding Barriers to Communication
Dear Team,
I am writing to you to tell you how to avoid the barriers of communication. The barriers of communication are technical breakdown, wrong format, wrong target, unclear message, use of jargon, poor timing, no feedback, wrong channel, attitude towards sender and the receiver unable to understand.
Technical breakdown: Speak to I.T director to see if computer needs to be repaired.
Wrong format: Don’t cut and paste as much.
Wrong target: Check you’re sending the message to the right person 3 times.
Unclear message: Explain at the beginning of message what it’s about,
Use of jargon: Check your use of language and spelling 3 times.
Poor timing: Make sure you send it with enough time for them to get the message and reply.
No feedback: Ask for feedback.
Wrong channel: Check you’re sending it down the right channel/directly to them or how they want it sent 3 times.
Attitude to sender: Make sure you/they are paying attention (look interested).
Receiver unable to understand: Explain at beginning of message what it’s about.
